Charming Witch, 1911
Here is another card from the same publisher (“Copyright 1910 by A. Jaeger”) and the same series (“Halloween Series No 7”) as last week.
As you can see, the caption reads:
On Hallowe’en, when the hour is right,
Let the witch mix a charm in a Pumpkin bright
Then rub this nearest to the heart
And the One who’ll tarry you’ll surely marry
If you acted right your part.
The artist has depicted another good witch, indicated by the—very unusual—white hat and the—uncommon—white neck ruff. The red ribbon is a nice touch, but the white owl-topped wand and lamp-post are just perfect.

What a wonderful image! There are so many details and artistic flares that I just love, many of which you’ve touched on, but a few more I found endearing.
I love the pumpkin-as-cauldron, and the “flames” under it reminds me of leaves.
I also love the lamp, and the bat trim on the robe.
Thank you again for another wonderful witchy image.

Thanks Angela,
Yes I should have mentioned the bats on the robe in particular. I was mesmerised by them! (Then again, I do watch a lot of vampire films!)
And the red heart with a gold “O” on it: the colours are so rich. Perhaps I’ll do a few more scans…

very nice pic. but i think the lampost is topped with a dragon with a real owl perching on it.
