DeviantArt, Stock Witches
If you spend a lot of time searching DeviantArt you will notice that there are sequences of “stock photos” that are freely available for other artists to download and use in their own digital art. These photos are usually taken with a plain coloured backdrop so it is easier for end-users to manipulate them in Photoshop.
Why do I mention this? Well, I have avoided including stock photos of witches in my posts so far, not because the images are not any good—some of them are great—but because I wanted to cover the finished products first. But now it is time to celebrate the originals.
One of the most popular is the “Autumn Witch” and “Autumn Witch Portrait” series by Ida Mary Walker (aka mizzd-stock). Ida may be from Denmark, but she is everywhere on DeviantArt. The forty-seven photos in her Autumn Witch Packs turn up in scores of digital compositions. A few examples are below, matched with a few of the original photos of Ida.

1. Autumn Witch 3 becomes The Halloween Witch by Marta
2. Autumn Witch Portrait 2 becomes Portrait of a Witch by Healersmoon
Another popular stock is the “Pretty Witch” series of photos of Angie by Jamie (aka Lisajen-stock). Angie, from Belgium, is also everywhere on DeviantArt, though there are only a dozen pictures in the sequence. I give a few matched examples below. Hopefully, you will recognise Angie from my previous post (which used this image). My next post will cover some other stock witch photos and models.

3. Pretty Witch 12 becomes To the Sabbat We Go by The Nocturnal Empress Shasta
4. Pretty Witch 3 (flipped horizontaly) becomes Witch by kamiste

hey nice work! I’m located in Portland Oregon… would love to contribute to the series if you continue it and are in this part of the country.
